About the Role
Join our Australian property practice as a Conveyancing Legal Assistant. This remote role based in China
involves close collaboration with Australian solicitors on conveyancing matters across Victoria and other
states. You will manage workflows, prepare legal documents, liaise with stakeholders, and support PEXA
settlements. Ideal candidates have legal training, excellent English, and familiarity with Australian
conveyancing. Key Responsibilities
Assist with residential/commercial conveyancing (sales, purchases, refinancing) Prepare and review documents: Contracts of Sale, Section 32 Statements, Transfers, Mortgages, Settlement Statements
Support PEXA workspace management, document verification, and settlement coordination
Communicate professionally with Australian clients, agents, banks, and law firms
Conduct title searches, council searches, and follow up on requisitions
Maintain files and ensure compliance with Australian procedures
Provide legal and administrative support as needed
Essential Requirements
Excellent English (verbal and written) with professional communication ability
Bachelor’s degree or higher (Law preferred) Strong attention to detail and legal reasoning skills
Ability to work independently across time zones and meet deadlines
Familiarity with Australian legal documentation standards
Highly Desirable
Experience with Australian conveyancing, especially PEXA and Victorian processes
JD/LLM qualification
Previous work with Australian law firms or conveyancers
Knowledge of Australian property law (settlements, adjustments, e-conveyancing)
