Job Title:
Project Manager – Engineering & Manufacturing (IoT Air Purifiers, China)
Location:
On-site in China (preferably in the Guangdong manufacturing region)
Frequent travel to OEM and component supplier facilities

To support our rapid growth and new product launches, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee and coordinate the development, industrialization, and production of our air purification products with our Chinese supply chain, OEM and manufacturing partners.
Role Overview:
The Project Manager will own overall project responsibility and act as our primary representative on the ground in China, ensuring smooth collaboration between our European R&D and quality and supply chain and our local manufacturing partners.
You will manage the full lifecycle of engineering and manufacturing to ensure the success of projects from prototype development and validation through to production launch —Ensure the development of products meet our and delivery technical standards, on-time, on-budget and on-quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the main liaison between the European engineering team and Chinese OEM partners.
Manage project timelines, deliverables, and budgets for the development and manufacture of IoT air purifier products.
Facilitate all project communication between Chinese OEM partners’ project team and internal development team, coordinate cross functional team activity directly related to assigned project.
Oversee prototype builds, pilot runs, and production ramp-up, coordinating closely with engineering, procurement, and quality teams.
Track and report project progress, risks, and build issues on site, provide guidance and coordinate root cause analysis and corrective action plans with suppliers ensure timely problem-solving and escalation where needed.
Manage and hold weekly issue review and status report meetings.
Track engineering Test plans & testing; Report progress and raise the issues with proposed solutions to management at the assigned projects.
Conduct on-site visits to factories to verify process capability, Engineering Builds , tool release, quality control ,and compliance with specifications.
Support supplier qualification, audits, and technical reviews in collaboration with the Quality and Supply Chain teams.
Facilitate DFM (Design for Manufacturing) reviews and ensure proper communication of engineering changes and product updates.
Ensure the product adherence to European and international standards for safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
Foster a collaborative, long-term relationship with manufacturing partners to support continuous improvement and innovation.
Other related project duties assigned from management may be required to perform.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 5+ years of experience managing engineering or manufacturing projects in China, ideally within consumer electronics, IoT devices, or home appliances.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain coordination, and product industrialization.
Proven track record of project delivery in an international, cross-functional environment.
In-depth knowledge of engineering and new product development.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with people across at all levels of the organization
Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is highly desirable.
Previous work experience as a project Manager or equivalent within consumer electronics, IoT devices, or home appliances industry for at least 5 years.
Familiarity with plastic injection mold manufacture process.
Familiarity with IoT hardware development, embedded electronics, and cloud integration is a strong plus.
Experience with ISO 9001 quality system, and product compliance frameworks.
Hands-on, Self-Motivated, truthful, pragmatic approach with the ability to operate independently and take initiative in a dynamic setting.
